Park

I can't hardly pronouce his name properly. But this is Park Jung Sang. He is my one and only English language student. A few years ago, he and I would meet weeky at a mall for me to teach him conversational English.
I have met his lovely wife and all three of his young sons, I think, when he invited me over to their place a few years ago and for a Korean Christmas supper with his friends.

He is very religious. He is also very intelligent. He and fis family, like so many other people of different nationalities, have emigrated to Canada, a vast country which has the space.

All it needs are people like Park and his wife and kids.

  3. That's pretty cool! That's nice you helped someone learn English and become part of the Canadian identity, doing your part to continue the work of turning immigrants into Canadians.

I'm thinking of being proactive and learning Chinese Mandarin, that way, in a few decades when they outnumber the rest of the world, I'll be able to understand what they're saying when their tv shows and music start saturating the airwaves.

  4. ErosWings: That will never happen. The Americans, who by then will back to their right-wing conservative views, won't permit it.

Theyll crush the Chinese and their vast Army, I figure.

  6. Dinahmow: I've had this stroke on my right side. I have to go now but it makes typing very difficult. Thus less typing.
