Stuff

These are just random photographs. Just like the song called Photograph, by Canadian band Nickelback. There is an Arnold Scharnegger joke around my family.

It's " I'll be Bach!" And I jokingly say it with an exaggerated German accent all the time. In truth, he's one of my fave characters in real life. My son and I always jke about it too while we're laughing at the innane humour of Family Guy.

We have such little minds. But we need simple Guy Humour to get us through the day. While my daughter tries to solve all the world's problems when she's not in the bathroom, Ev and I just laugh.

And solve all the weighty world problems, like go and watch THE Edmonton Trappers of some obscure baseball league I used to cover or the Winnipeg Goldeyes, which I also used to cover.

This above is my son, Evan, apparently contemplating the future of the planet -- or the equally important responsibility of solving all the world's problems.
With the assistance of the computer above and a baseball bat he can always use when he MUST resort to brute force, he will endure.

When that doesn't work, he can always have an afternoon nap.
And if THAT doesn't work, then he can revert to a child.
And if THAT doesn't work, he can simply become an Ibex and avoid the whole thing.

  1. Sometimes, an afternoon nap is all you need to find inspiration!

At the Zoo in San Antonio, they have these little vending machines that dispense feed into cups that you can feed certain animals, like Ibex and other grazers. My friends liked feeding them through the bars. I never dared to try, because in the back of my head, I'm thinking, that's a wild animal with sharp teeth. I'm not risking a bite on my hand!

  2. I'm with you, sort of, ErosWings. Thr thing is, though, they've sanitized zoos so much. It's no more about truly exploring and learning.

Instead, it's all about stupidity and insurance rates going higher and lawyers. It's less fun than it used to be.

It will never be the kind of unbridled fun that it used to be. Now it's all about things that aren't alive, like computers.
