I have the self-defeating ability to laugh at ANYTHING but there are limits even for me and he's simply not funny, and that is totally aside from the fact that he's arrogantly and crassly inappropriate. Here's a sobering factoid I heard last year (it may have changed): Canada has lost more soldiers in Afghanistan per capita than any other country engaged there.

Isn't that what you Americans do? Absorb anything of star quality and make her yours?

The Fox thing was simply stupid and vulgar and beyond good taste and I don't care how many times he apologizes.
As much as we can make some light-hearted jokes about our military and as much as I can ask what are we doing wasting time there in a situation that even Harper says can never be changed, the fact is at least we're there, as stupid as the whole effort might be.
There are a whole shitload of countries who aren't there and who are probably smirking in thankfulness that we are.
Every time I see another inevitable report of another Canuck soldier killed, my reaction is...what did you expect?
