WIDE OPEN SPACES, BEAUTIFUL PLACES

Sometimes, it's best to shut up and just look around you.
Beyond the beheadings, the invasions, the gas prices, the politicians.
Beyond the cluster-fuck of calamity that humanity has at least partly become.
This is one of those times.
There is beauty still all around us.
Say what you need to say. Say what you need to say.

  1. Let your eyes take in the glory of the rugged wildness, your lungs the purity of the summer air, your ears the voices of the planet, your soul the peacefulness of that corner of the universe... no words needed... beautiful photo.

  2. Cluster-fuck.... great term. I think you just invented a new word. Certainly seems to fit the chaos that is becoming the norm these days.

But I like this term even more... :-) ... simple yet conveys a great deal. And much more pleasant that what is happening in the world.

  4. Washing your mouth out with Fairy Liquid for swearing lol

Sometimes I drive and sit and watch and take in all that around me.... sitting and watching something so pure, sure does a lot of 'inside cleaning'....

  5. That is a great foto of a striking landscape. Those hills were probably here millions of years before we walked this earth...they'll probably be still there long after we're gone, too.

On a side note, those red mounds look like two boobs.

  7. Ponygirl:

    Sorry, I can't take credit for the term cluster-f*ck. I don't know who can, but I can't.

    Laurie:

DOH! Sorry! I'll wash my mouth out with soap.

    Toasty:

    See above. What's Fairy Liquid?

Yep, sometimes just have to look beyond all the crud and focus in on the good stuff.

It's just obscured by all the bad stuff sometimes, that's all.

    Eroswings:

True. Those are mountains (or hills or hoodoos) in Montana. And I concur about their resemblance to breasts.

    MJ:

    Me and Eroswings both. :-)

  8. I think you've evoked in me the opposite of the intended emotion. When I look out my office window, I see bushland. I'm already in the middle of freaking nowhere, and it doesn't make me calm or happy! Sorry :)

  9. Yes. It is best when one can look around, take in the beauty that is 'everyday' and appreciate it.

Life is beauty and beauty is life.

Negative, unwanted visions/feelings and all. All is beauty!

Well then, look to the inner you. Or look at Ayers Rock.

Or at your Aussies whuppin' Canada's butt at the Olympics.

There's beauty everywhere, Stace, despite it all.

    AWA:

    Hey girl! How YOU doin!?

    Nice new avatar!

    Now you got the feeling!

It simply is another world, compared to the daily rat race, a world to linger.

    WELCOME, GIRL!!!

You're so right...a world to linger, to just observe, away from the rat race...
